I’ve been looking at Plug computers trying to find a suitable machine to run
USB RFID Scanner, USB Mini LED display, Arduino
It will also have to run the odd Python script to power the different peripherals but nothing too major. But it has to have a low power consumption, quiet (passive cooling) and small. Ideally it would also have built in Wifi and bluetooth. I was going to get a GuruPlug, but they have horrible over-heating issues
Then I remembered I had a small, attractive, silent machine just sitting doing nothing. My previous generation Apple TV. So I’m going down the rabbit hole and going to try and install Linux on it. Wish me luck
